Ship classification

Classification is a special type of certification particularly applied to confirm that the maritime structures and facilities comply with requirements. Classification implies that requirements are set by the classification society, i.e. the same third party that performes the classification. The requirements are specified in the DNV Rules.

Statutory services

DNV operates a world-wide network of survey stations and is authorised by more than 120 flag administrations to carry out surveys and, in most cases, issue statutory certificates on their behalf.

Thomas Klatt vom unabhängigen Zertifizierer Det Norske Veritas (DNV) übergab die Zertifikate an Dr. Alf Harkort, den Leiter des Bereichs Unternehmensqualität, und an Dr. Heike Sarstedt, Leiterin Umwelt- und Sicherheitsmanagement.
