The Turkish ship management company DITAS Marine Operations and Tanker Management Co has chosen DNV GL’s ECO Insight fleet performance management solution to improve the performance of their ten tankers.
“We were looking for a solution that is easy to implement and to use,” says Koray Yaş, Ditas’ Technical & New Building Manager. “Less than four weeks after the kick-off workshop we have commenced the fleet roll-out already.”
“We really look forward to support Ditas in identifying efficiency potentials across their fleet,” adds Dr Torsten Büssow, DNV GL’s Head of Fleet Performance Management.
DNV GL’s performance management portal ECO Insight provides a comprehensive and easily accessible way to manage the performance of a fleet, including voyage, hull & propeller, engine & systems performance. It enriches customers’ own fleet reports with industry data, such as Automatic Identification System (AIS), weather, or fuel, and provides unique benchmarking capabilities. Advanced engineering methods, for example hull fouling predictions based on CFD, are also packaged into the portal. The portal comes with an optional on-board vessel reporting system called Navigator Insight. It ensures high quality data collection on board through smart plausibility checks against specific vessel particulars.
DITAS Marine Operations and Tanker Management Co is one of the leading Turkish tanker companies and has a track record of 40 years in this business. Its vessels will join more than 300 ships which are already part of the ECO Insight community. The web-based fleet performance management solution was launched in autumn 2014 and has been attracting participants from all segments in the industry.
